Internships available year-round

Mississippi Public Broadcasting offers internships to students enrolled in any institution of higher learning. MPB’s internship program is specifically designed to provide training and experience for students interested in public broadcasting. MPB internships are non-salaried.

How to Apply

Students must complete the Student Internship Application form. If class credit is associated with the internship, students must obtain the signature of their department chairperson prior to each semester. MPB's internship coordinator processes applications and will notify students if they are selected to interview for an internship position. The department supervisor will conduct interviews, assign tasks, and supervise the student’s work.

Internship Application Timeline

• Spring Internships: Applications will be accepted throughout the month of November.
• Summer Internships: Applications will be accepted throughout the month of April.
• Fall Internships: Applications will be accepted throughout the month of June.
